"Question: How do you find a recipe source you can trust? There are so many recipes... which recipe do we choose?!?


"Another question: How many recipes are floating around, written by amateurs who are simply recycling already existing recipes? Give me some new information! Give me some hot tips! Tell me something I don't already know!


"Perhaps I expect a bit much, as a food professional. After all, with the internet, we have the privilege (and also the detriment), of free publishing, by anybody who wants to post, whether they're qualified or not. No publishing house reviews the quality or the accuracy of the information. We might be able to find anything, but anything is not necessarily valuable.

"Consider 'America's Test Kitchen', producers of 'Cooks Illustrated' and Cooks Country'. This is a highly reputable source; a well-spring of tried and true, tested recipes. But can you gain access to all their recipes for free? No! Although you can check out current recipes from the latest season, you need to become a paying member to access other recipes.
